Thank you to all the mad rugby players who raised £4,500 by growing "Mos" in Movember. Joey Devlin from Aberdeen Sports Massage rallied rugby club members from around the region to grow interesting and unusual moustaches and to be sponsored for it by friends and family. Prizes for Best Mo in Show and for The Lame'o'award were donated by Joey. |

Thank you to everyone who took part in the UCAN Christmas Poster Campaign. Generous companies raised in excess of £1,700 by writing their Christmas greeting to friends and colleagues on the UCAN Christmas Poster and donated the cash normally spent on cards to the charity. |

Jane McKenzie recently held a UCAN Dine With Me Dinner party and rasied £245.00. The eleven invited guests sat down to a beautiful three course meal and continued the party in to the small hours. Jane, whose father died of prostate cancer some years ago said it was such an easy way to raise money for charity. |

A Young north-east swimmer is poised to achieve his ambition of raising at least £1,000 to fight cancer.
Plucky Ryan Kaczmarek, 13 of Banff took part in this year’s Banff-Macduff bay swim for UCAN, the north-east’s urological cancer charity.
His supporters have already stumped up more than £900 and more money has still to come in.
He has also been guaranteed a donation from the Celtic Charity Fund, the charitable arm of Celtic FC. Ryan who is a Celtic supporter decided to raise money for UCAN after former Hoops player John Hartson was diagnosed with cancer.
Ryan entered the gruelling Banff Bay swim on Saturday 8 August and finished in 25 min 34sec.
Ryan said “I was pleased as I managed to be 13th out of almost 50 swimmers and beat my personal best by two minutes. I would like to thank everybody who sponsored me”.
