Good, about time they saw sense.

Arbiraterone will be considered by the licensing body in Scotland in Aug 2012. It will almost certainly be accepted to fall into line with NICE. If it is not there will be an outcry. I hope to be accepted as a recipient as I hopefully meet the desired criteria. Let's cross our fingers and pray that this follows through.

Today SMC agreed to follow the example of NICE in England and accept that Arbiraterone can now be prescribed for treatment for patients who have failed to respond to hormone therapy and chemotherapy. There might be restrictions but this is great news.
